Aaron Asham In, Brandon Prust Out?

Well word has just come down that the New York Rangers have signed Aaron Asham to a two-year deal worth $2 million. Asham is a hated player who is going to stir things up on the ice. Now what’s interesting, is this the end of Brandon Prust’s time with the Rangers and it seems like it will be. Asham is an interesting low cost signing which is what the Rangers needed as it seemed Brandon Prust was asking for upwards of $3 million per year.
What’s also good here is that Asham and Rupp have played together twice before, one year with the New Jersey Devils, and one other season with the Pittsburgh Penguins. Asham has also now played for every team in the Atlantic Division so these teams are very familiar with him.
