Rangers, Chris Kreider In Contract Talks

The New York Rangers and prospect Chris Kreider are in contract talks, according to Katie Strang of ESPN New York.
It is believed the 20-year-old center will forego his senior season with Boston College to turn pro. Whether that means he will join the Rangers and have the opportunity to make his NHL debut in the 2012 Stanley Cup playoffs remains to be seen, however.
… this is good news for the Rangers and Chris Kreider.
To have Kreider on this team for the playoffs for depth is a good move. Will Kreider help this team in the playoffs? We can only hope so, it certainly can’t hurt.
This has been a whirlwind few weeks for Kreider. What better way to cap it off then to play your very first National Hockey League game in the NHL Playoffs!? IF he gets that chance.
Crazy!
