… I see where Stan is going with this and why he wants Brad Richards to be the next captain of the New York Rangers but in my opinion it’s Ryan Callahan’s job to lead this team into the future no matter what the length of his contract is.
If the Blueshirts choose Richards as the captain it’s going to be because of the deal he signed and not that they don’t have faith in Callahan’s leadership skills. Callahan will most definitely rock the ‘A’ on his jersey if passed up for captain.
