Read: Flyers Offer To Shea Weber Not Good For The NHL

The other day Philadelphia Eagles quarterback, Michael Vick used the word “dynasty” in referring to the possibilities for the Eagles. Immediately the media and fans shuddered and were outraged by his contention. So, I ask are dynasties a good thing? Perhaps, for the fans of that annually-winning team they certainly would tell you it’s just fine. But, [...]

Around The League: Flyers Offer Shea Weber HUGE Offer Sheet

The Philadelphia Flyers have signed Predators defensemen Shea Weber to a monstrous 14 year offer sheet worth around $100 million.  The Nashville Predators have 7 days to match the offer put forward by Philadelphia. If they do, Weber will stay a Nashville Predators. If they don’t, Weber will be on his way to Philadelphia. Weber, [...]

Video: Lundqvist, Prust & Richards Talk About Game 6

… seriously, have you EVER heard Henrik Lundqvist come out and say ANYTHING like this before? Absolutely not. 24/7 Rangers/Flyers: All Great Things Must Come to an End

A side of Ilya Bryzgalov that was rarely shown in the opening… a somberly disgruntled one. After losing 5-1, Bryz was rightly upset with himself.  Then there is the uncertainty of who will start for Philly against their next game againstPittsburgh, Bryzgalov or Bobrovsky.  But that wasn’t the only Flyers/Pittsburgh storyline… There was the return [...]

Beaten Rangers Fan Was Off-Duty Cop, War Vet

Not that it matters what the Rangers’ fan social status was, but the fact remains, this was truly a heinous act that occurred at Geno’s Steakhouse in Philadelphia following the Winter Classic game. According to NBC New York, the man who suffered the most intense injuries is recovering nicely with stitches in one eye and [...]

Glen Sather Guarantee Holds Up in Rangers Winter Classic Victory

Courtesy of Russ Cohen of Sportsology.  This past September Rangers GM Glen Sather guaranteed a victory in the Winter Classic. Many people didn’t give that a fair shake. He was deadly serious. He had never given a guarantee like that before and low and behold the New York Rangers did pull out a 3-2 win [...]

Ilya Bryzgalov Will NOT Play In The Winter Classic

… so it’s looking as though Sergei Bobrovsky will get the start for the Flyers tomorrow against the New York Rangers in the Winter Classic.  Can EA Sports redo their simulation with Bob in net now?  Is this good or bad news for the New York Rangers? I am undecided on that.
